Rainbow Veins-Owl City

High rise, veins of the avenue
Bright eyes and subtle variations of blue
Everywhere is balanced there like a rainbow above you
Street lights glisten on the boulevard
And cold nights make staying alert so hard
For heaven's sake, keep me awake so I won't be caught off guard
Clearly I am a passerby but I'll find a place to stay
Dear pacific day, won't you take me away?

Small town hearts of the New Year
Brought down by gravity, crystal clear
City fog and brave dialogue converge on the frontier
Make haste, I feel your heartbeat
With new taste for speed, out on the street
Find a road to a humble abode where both of our routes meet
The silver sound is all around and the colors fall like snow
The feeling of letting go, I guess we'll never know

Cheer up and dry your damp eyes and tell me when it rains
And I'll blend up that rainbow above you and shoot it through your veins
Cause your heart has a lack of color and we should've known
That we'd grow up sooner or later cause we wasted all our free time alone

Your nerves gather with the altitude
Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com
Exhale the stress so you don't come unglued
Somewhere there is a happy affair, a ghost of a good mood
Wide eyed, panic on the getaway
The high tide could take me so far away
VCR's and motorcars unite on the Seventh Day
A popular gauge will measure the rage of the new Post-Modern Age
Cause somewhere along the line all the decades align

We were the crashing whitecaps
On the ocean
And what lovely seaside holiday, away
A palm tree in Christmas lights
My emotion
Struck a sparkling tone like a xylophone
As we spent the day alone

Cheer up and dry your damp eyes and tell me when it rains
And I'll blend up that rainbow above you and shoot it through your veins
Cause your heart has a lack of color and we should've known
That we'd grow up sooner or later cuz we wasted all our free time alone

This is love. ♥ Everyone! Cheer up and dry your damp eyes. ::)

Sorry!

We have been terrible, and I apologize! This isn't going to be a well thought out post, but I've been wondering something: What is romantic love? Can it be defined or is it different from person to person? Is it a choice or a feeling?

If I Were an Animal

Yesterday me and my sisters were playing an interesting game. My little siblings heard about it in a book. All it basically is, is a game where you match your personality or someone elses with an animal, a color, a type of food, etc. It was actually alot of fun. For instance:

If I were an animal, I would be a hyena. (Apparantly. I thought maybe I could be a cat. But everyone I asked said "You? A cat? HA. No." -.- )

If I were a fruit, I would be a grapefruit. Because I'm bitter and sweet.

If I were a part of Greek mythology, I would be a Siren. Because I sing people to death.

And that's the way the game is played. Like I said, it's pretty fun and, well, interesting. If you want to best results, play with someone who isn't afraid to say something that might just offend you. ::P

Art and Music

Two of my favorite things are Art and Music. If I have my music, a pencil, and a sketchpad I am usually happy. I'm certainly not the best artist, but I am better at drawing than I am singing. This is the main reason I like to "sing" with my pictures (and I'm sure my family prefers that over the alternative of me running around the house belting out my current favorite song . . .)
If you have ever seen a picture that I have drawn you certainly know what I'm talking about. I have a song quote or a poem to go with almost every single picture I have ever drawn. Occasionally I will goes as far as to write the lyrics around the picture.

When I drew this picture I was in the middle of an obsession with the song "Brick by Boring Brick" by Paramore (that's why the lyrics are floating around the page). I'm not 100% please with it, but it is a l o t more beautiful than me singing that song would be. Trust me.

Poem of The Week

Edgar Allan Poe is best known for his haunting poetry about death, but the Hymn shows a brighter, less gothic view of death. Even though Poe was not a Catholic, he revered Mary as his mother.

HYMN
by
Edgar Allan Poe
~~~~~~~~~~~~
AT morn — at noon — at twilight dim —
Maria! thou hast heard my hymn!
In joy and woe — in good and ill —
Mother of God, be with me still!
When the Hours flew brightly by,
And not a cloud obscured the sky,
My soul, lest it should truant be,
Thy grace did guide to thine and thee;
Now, when storms of Fate o'ercast
Darkly my Present and my Past,
Let my Future radiant shine
With sweet hopes of thee and thine!
Let the audience in...let my blogging begin!
It is with great pleasure that I will be joining the wonderful blog of my dear friend, Ms. Ella. Let me introduce myself.
Hi! I'm Katherine.
I'm 15.
I'm a Seton homeschool sophmore.
I love music, I love art and I love poetry.
I love The Phantom of the Opera. I cannot, however match his awesomeness . . .with the swooshy cape, magical voice and all.
I'm really random and probably won't ever have one specific topic for a blog post. Or I won't stay on it anyways . . .
I actually h a v e rose colored glasses.
Annnnd that's all! ::) Enjoy mine and Ella's random bloggings! ::D
Waking Rose Playlist
My dear friend Katherine and I wrote an article for Ink and Fairydust web magazine about two months ago. We waited with baited breath to know wether it would be included or not.... I never received a response to my email asking about it's status. Today we got our answer in the form of a printed article! Our pretty little playlist resides on page 27!
Go read it! Go now, I can see that you are still here!
